Pharmacology and use:
Estramustine is an antineoplastic agent indicated in the palliative treatment of patients with metastatic and/or progressive carcinoma of the prostate. Estramustine is a combination of estradiol with nornitrogen mustard. The precise mechanism of action of estramustine is unknown. Unlike other alkylating agents, estramustine does not directly damage DNA. For the palliative treatment of patients with metastatic and/or progressive carcinoma of the prostate
